Loadmeter system monitor screen shot

#1 Post by Mic67 »

This is available in dotpup form, I got this application from MU's server quite a while ago.

When I use any version of Puppy I alway use this application called
Loadmeter.

Well isnt it the same thing as the CPU monitor in the bottom task bar next to the time display?

Well yes but the CPU meter in the task bar updates way to slow like almost a 10 second delay, not really very useful, in my opinion.

Loadmeter update every about every second.

Load meter provides a bar graph or at the top a digital representation of CPU usage.

The other cool aspect of Loadmeter is that by left clicking on the graph it self will display other stats such as memory usage, swap usage, up time, and other such info..

By right clicking on the top task bar of the application produces a menu that offers "layer" which allows you to make it the consistent top lay window above all else, this is what I do.

To place this application window where ever you want, middle click (wheel on mouse) allows you to move that application around.

Move the cursor to the bottom right corner of the application to resize the applcation window.

This is the one applcation that really tell me how the system is really doing.

"Loadmeter v1.20
==============

This is a useful little system monitoring utility I've hacked up to keep
track of various system stats. It monitors:

- Load average
- Uptime
- Disk usage
- Memory usage

In its normal state it displays a window with a coloured bar graph
showing the load average for the past minute. This is also shown
in digits at the top of the window. both are updated every second. A red
'notch' marks the maximum load since it was started"

Loadmeter 1.20 (23k)

Definately worth including in the Barry K. offical Puppy versions and any other for
that matter .....
