ydrv for LxPupSc-19.04 updated

added a ydrv for ScPup-19.04 - bit bigger because it includes components missing from ScPup which are included in LxPupSc.....

https://sourceforge.net/projects/lxpup/ ... LXQt-ydrv/

Quite liking LXQt although it is definitely somewhat slower than LXDE presumably due to sitting on the overheads of Qt5......

May (absolutely no promises) do something similar for ScPup64 now I know what is needed.....

All ydrv's updated to LXQt-0.15.0....

https://sourceforge.net/projects/lxpup/ ... LXQt-ydrv/

based on Qt-5.14.2

ydrv's added for BionicPup64 and UPupEF

n.b. some video drivers seem to stop icons in the systray being displayed - if you get a blank systray with no icons you should Log out to the console; run xorgwizard; choose Set video driver option and choose either 'automatic' (for modern pups) or 'modesetting' (for BionicPup64). Then type xwin to return to the desktop.

peebee, I've noticed a bit of irritation with this latest ydrv in ScPup 32,
the "tray area icons" are a bit difficult to click, such as network manager,
CPU monitor...the taskbar hides almost immediately. Have rolled back
to previous and will check for the issue...posting this from ArchPup 32
with LXDE!
Wiz
edit to add...this is with ScPup 20.01 +6 T BTW, have not tried the new
20.06 yet
another edit...still there in pevious ydrv, not as bad, at least you can
activate the icons, not sure cause tho, could be the resolution of this
old netbook (Acer Aspire One AO150) it is almost locked at 1024 x 600
max.

Went back 1 release further on the ydrv with LXQt desktop to find a
"stable" notification area panel on the taskbar, LXQt 0.14.1, QT 5.14
Also, the new release ISO of ScPup 32 doesn't want to load a prior
savefile, when I attempted to load the new 20.06 it bypassed asking
about the savefile, update it, etc. Couldn't load LXQt as ydrv in this
one either, may try as just an SFS file as I do in ArchPup 32.

Hi @Wiz57

The panel problem does appear to be a LXQt bug which I would report if there was somewhere to do so (they seem to be having big website problems).

The easy solution is to set the panel to NOT autohide....

A more complicated solution might be to put the systray into its own separate panel which doesn't autohide, then the rest of the panel can autohide as the bug only affects the systray.

The savefile needs to be renamed as there has been a slight rename from ScPup to ScPup32 - so it needs to be ScPup32save....

Cheers

Thanks peebee, renaming the savefile works. Successful upgrades of both
regular ScPup 32 and ScPup 32 w/LXDE...haven't done it yet in my ScPup32
w/LXQt...will try that one later. In LxPup Sc32 now. Loading LXDE via ydrv
works in this one. Again, thank you for these great Puppies!

New panel2 with systray and clock does not auto hide

panel1 auto hides

I did manage to raise an issue on the LXQt Github pages...
I have been told that:
1. systray is obsolete and deprecated
2. Status Notification should be used instead
3. However all ScPup systray apps are too old and are not compatible with Status Notification

So we have to live with systray and it's problems & not use autohide option - sorry!
