any way also with flag this 30giga new usb in not willing what to do ?
I think there is a language problem with you understanding what to do and me being able to tell you and understand what your problem is.
I know you are having to translate and some of your statements are not that easy to understand in English.

Is there a Puppy web site in your native language that may be able to help you better :?:

What is your native language?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

i took a old usb i found at a printer on uni

with it was possible to boot slackos and x thars

but not thars

butttt:

if i use dvd with puppy ISO for the bypass system

i put iso dvd in slot

i switch on pc

i chose dvd slot

i get puppy wichich was on iso

i shut down

i can choose partition
where is may save file
i give it name

i can choose ...copy ....some stuff on hd to be faster next time THIS OPTION I DONT SEE on yapi

i restart pc

i choose dvd slot

i get the puppy with the save file or if they are more save files i can choose the save file

HERE YAPI MAKES SAFE FILE BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT ON MAY HARDDISCK
WITH FILE MANGER
BUT IT IGNORES SAVE FILE AND GIVES ME FRESH NEW PUPPY

ONLY IN CASE I THINK I MADE SAVE ON USB THEN IT REMEBERS

--------------------------------------------------------------------

please where is a stuff for usb which works like iso dvd

i want to use usb like i use dvd in slot

internet is full of advertisment that puppy can do this

--------->please tel me the pet or windows program with which i can transform
the usb that it works like iso-dvd --->see fat underlined text

i hope i was to understand this time

looking forward fdesperately for any message

Understand that booting from a live Puppy CD/DVD is different from booting from a Puppy installed on a USB flash drive.
The boot process knows that a CD/DVD install probably needs to put the save on the hard drive, so it looks on the hard drive for the save.

A Puppy installed to a USB flash drive can put the save on the flash drive.
It recommends to put the save on the USB flash drive.
This puts all of Puppy on the flash drive, so the drive can be used on a different computer and all of Puppy is there to use.
The Puppy install + the save all on the USB drive.
So, the boot process only looks on the USB drive for the save.

In the boot menu entry there is command to tell the boot process it is booting from a USB flash drive.

To make it think it is booting from a CD/DVD install.
On the USB flash drive find the menu.lst file.
Left click on it to open in a text editor.
Find the entry that boots the Puppy installed.
In the kernel line is pmedia= command.
Change the pmedia=usbflash to pmedia=cd.
Save the change.

Example menu.lst entry changed:
title Puppy bionicpup64 7.9.5 (sdd1/bionicpup64795uefi)
find --set-root --ignore-floppies --ignore-cd /bionicpup64795uefi/initrd.gz
kernel /bionicpup64795uefi/vmlinuz psubdir=bionicpup64795uefi pmedia=cd pfix=fsck
initrd /bionicpup64795uefi/initrd.gz

Now the USB install will think it is booting from a CD/DVD and look on the hard drive for the save.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

New version of YaPI posted in first post.
yapi-180921

Better for translating.
Improved pup-up messages.
Better understandable information statements.
Improvements to how YaPI works.
Minor tweaks and code cleanup.

YaPI listed in iso right click menu.
(right click on an iso, choose YaPI)
Starts YaPI at selection window to choose where to install iso.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

What about adding (if you can) the functionable ability to work with Barry's .usfs.xz and .img.gz files?

Just a thought!

Sorry, but YaPI is only going to support official Puppy.

Barry's stuff is not official Puppy.
Really, it is him trying new ways of doing things.
