why can't xfe, xfwrite, and xfimage be integrated?

Subject description: in other words previewers in the file manager
 

I love using xfe file manager, and xfwrite, and xfimage, but it's a little annoying seeing the file list in xfimage and having to manage files from xfe. Couldn't xfimage be a preview window in xfe? Same as xfwrite, a text previewer in xfe.

I can't do it of course, just wondering.

XFE>Edit>Preferences>Programs tab

Make sure xfimage is selected as the image viewer.

Also in XFE you could have xfe>panel>thumbnails checked.

Also in xfimage>View
Have thumbnails checked.
In the xfimage window where it shows the files listed.
Have the big icon button selected.

This is what xfimage now looks like:
