displaying the outputs of shell scripts in jwm status bar

#1 Post by mssx86 »

i have a bunch of shell scripts for using with i3bar/tmux/dwm/lemonbar which i wrote for my own purposes. is there a way for me to add an item that displays the output of those scripts in the jwm's status bar?

Also at http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 734#608734, where there are also references to "sdesk", which might be the other one I'm thinking of.

no, these aren't what i want. i just want to be able to display the output of what a shell script or any other program prints to stdout on the jwm status bar, like how i3status or lemonbar displays the output of programs with set intervals.
