puppy 1.0.4 using fvwm95 pager to change to currentdesk:1

#1 Post by sulemasc »

I've always wanted to know how to change or create another desk - ie. when I right click desktop I see current desk:0

but in the .fvwm95rc file in Puppy there are these lines:

__*FvwmPagerLabel 0 page
__*FvwmPagerLabel 1 Development
__*FvwmPagerLabel 2 Internet
__*FvwmPagerLabel 3 Misc

and also at the DestroyMenu "Module-Popup" line,

+ "Pager%mini-pager.xpm%" Module FvwmPager 0 3

Does Puppy have these other three desks ready to use? If not how do I make them accessible?

Thanks,
Mark

by the way I was going to post this on the fvwm95 forum, as I have been reading and learning there too, but thought to ask here first in case it's built in already to Puppy1.0.4

yes it is
run the pager module from the desktop menu
(right-click or middle-click or left-click the desktop, something like that, i'm running icewm right now)
the pager module will open a pager window, it is not the same as the pager in the dock

Thanks - that makes me laugh! I never thought to check out that menu, and I figured it was something simple. Well, at least now I know how to customize the pager too.
