Puppy 1.04 CD ...where to buy? |
|
I bought Puppy (and some other CDs) from an online vendor and was surprised to find that it's missing Abiword, Gnumeric, Firefox, and Mozilla; the brower is Dillo (Yes, I did try the command line too.) It runs fine so I'm guessing the vendor downloaded someone's modified "mini-Puppy" instead. But whatever, it's close enough to what I want that it's worthwhile trying again.

If you don't have broadband, and you don't know anyone locally who does, and you're not prepared to download it on dialup, you can order the disk directly from BarryK ( our beloved leader ).
Details on the Goosee.com/puppy homepage.

Thank you all; I have now scrolled down. Duh!
Particularly glad to see that Puppy Unleashed is available on CD if/when I get to that stage.

Welcome to the kennels
Here are a list of my blunders:
. . . actually too numerous to mention . . .
OK here is two:
* Thinking the flat headed beaver was a vampire (actually that was a delusion - the medication is working) Beaver is great.
* not reading the on screen wizards - my first 2-3 months of playing with Puppy I had slow screen refresh - all I had to do was read Barrys instructions - tsk tsk - all of a sudden Puppy went woosh!
