Hello everyone,
I hope to find you and your families and friends all safe. So I love Bionicpup 8 64 and use it as my daily driver because Bionicpup is the only Linux distro I can easily boot off usb while keeping Windows 10 on my hard drive. No dual boot possible as this pc is blocked by the manifacturer. I use Bionicpup very easily but I'm rubbish at customization. I tried in the past to install another destop environment like lxde or xfce but certainly did something wrong and messed my system. I know it's possible as many create their own puppies.
Could anyone tell me how to install another desktop environment like lxde or xfce on my Bionicpup 8 64 the right way please?
Thanks in advance
How to install XFCE on Bionicpup 8 64 properly?

Have you tried LxPup which has LXDE already installed?
It comes in both Slackware and Bionic flavors.

xfce should hopefully install fine from the package manager. make sure to click on quickpet & bionicpup updates first as there was some fixes for this

Welcome to the world of Linux software.
Something, as simple as just getting a bad download of the software, can make it not install and work.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
