Yes, that's right.
I set it up with /usr/lib/mozilla as a symlink, so you can put Moz or Firefox anywhere you want, just change the link, nothing else to do.
I because if that link is true then MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME is true. And the Lib path is true for the Mozilla section.

In the past I just fixed the links and made everything true and do what I want. It only took a few minutes, but I didn't keep notes.

Some people like Mozilla and some don't. I think pound for pound Mozilla was an excellent choice on your part, because Mozilla does so much.

The problem with the bug in not blocking remote images, is that is what I use as a fairly effective ad blocker. Pages load faster and display cleaner.

The 'adblock' extension is a Firefox only extension. I've not been able to locate a Mozilla adblocker. I don't think there is one.

So controlling unwanted connections with Mozilla without the feature to block remote images becomes a matter of using an adblocking local host proxy or the hosts file or something along those lines.

It anyone knows of an adblocker extension for Mozilla I'd appreciate knowing about it.

IMO - the percentage of users who like Mozilla are probably going to be the hardest to please. :)

Since I use firefox located in (/root/my-apps/firefox) and I want to set that as my default browser.
I'm implementing a new system in 1.0.5.
If you look at 1.0.5alpha2, in /usr/local/bin/, you will see how all default applications can be specified.
For example, there is /usr/local/bin/defaultbrowser

So far, Rox is using this mechanism for the desktop shortcuts, but will extend it.

If the new Mozilla beta does indeed honor image preferences, then that is excellent news! With that and a spell checker, that may be enough reason for me to use it (which is a rarity for me, since I tend to avoid betas.)

On another note, I hope that fvwm95 will still be the default window manager (JWM is way too awkward.) I also hope to see good support for the i815 chipset, even if it's just something I have to download via PupGet or similar.

If nothing else, I have certainly gained some knowledge and insight in tinkering around with Mozilla in Puppy. I'm used to messing with it in Windows (like altering the prefs.js, about:config, registry, and creating custom xml files to "fix" the errant Backspace key behavior.) Because of this, I thought it wouldn't be too hard to fix Mozilla to my liking inside Puppy (boy do I have a lot to learn!) :-) I may never get it working properly in Puppy 1.04, so I will be anxiously waiting to see what 1.05 offers.
