Viz Subject description: Puppy 2.15 and Vincent |
|
Whilst Barry is busy coding
a mascot called Vincent is around . . .
That (I hope) with Barrys permission is our new mascot for Viz
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/CommunityEdition
Here are some of the projects that need to be organised for Viz
1. Polls For an accurate vote count on controversial decisions
2. IRC meeting What date? What time? What channel? freenode #puppy, #puppyce ?
3. Software Options Collecting views for and against app inclusion in the 2.15
anyone up for it?
any more projects?

I'd like to be there, so I've requested 10:00pm to 12:00 midnight - Sydney time - or 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm GMT. I've tried to pick a time that places me at a disadvantage rather than anyone else, but I certainly would change time to suit the rest of the community.
Thursday and Friday - 9:00am to 3:00pm Sydney time - are also a possibility as I work at the computer most of the time on those days.
Hope that helps with scheduling the IRC contact. Lobster, would you mind coordinating a meeting time, please? Cheers

Very sweet little fellow
I "traced" the foto (edge filter), then modified, scaled and oilified it (gimp).

High quality picture (1000 pixel high) for Gimp:

License: GPL.
Feel free to enhance and modify it for own purposes, if Barry aggrees.
Please give him a doggy-cake from me

OK lets meet at #puppylinux-foundation
#puppylinux. The main channel is for tech support
#puppylinux-foundation, which was used for Foundation meetings and can be used for other semi-important discussions.
To join both channels at once, enter #puppylinux,#puppylinux-foundation without any spaces in the appropriate location in your IRC client.
Thursday March 1 12 noon to 2.00 PM GMT
10:00pm to 12:00 midnight - Sydney time
yep short notice but let us see what happens

Of course that means 1 March since 2007 is not a leap year!
I'll be there at 10:00pm tonight, Sydney time.
Cheers

Go to Start>Control Panel>Set timezone in Puppy menu and look up your location in the list. There will be a + or - time displayed for your location which you add to or subtract from GMT or UTC as some people prefer.
Sydney is +10 hours which means at 12:00 noon UTC it will be 10:00pm here.
Hope that helps.

Look at Vincent in this simple MiniPup logo - will he be the symbol of the "Pup"?

Nice image Raffy
Works well. I rather like monochrome. It seems quite stylish.
