How to install Thunar file manager?

#1 Post by user12 »

Been using linux(mean puppy 2.02) for 2 weeks now. I ditched jwm for Icewm and have compiled and installed several diff file managers and also xmms. Anyways for the last 2 days Ive been trying to get Thunar file manager to install with no luck. Originally it was complaining about glib library, dbus, and perl URI, but I took care of the glib prob by downloading and installing glib 2.13. So its still complaining about dbus glib and perl URI. I thought I downloaded the correct files from ftp://texasangel.org/pub/grafpup/packages/2.0/ but the Thunar installer still complains I dont have them(maybe I didnt put them in the correct directory?). Has anyone had any luck getting thunar running on puppy? I would like to remove rox as it does not appeal to me and Im hoping thunar will be a viable alternative.

Thanks
