Seamonkey 'doubled', Flashblock won't work anymore

#1 Post by perixx »

Hello...

since I installed Puppy 2.15ce, I cannot activate the useful plugin 'Flashblock' anymore.

Reason:

Flashblock will search in /usr/lib folder for 'libflashplayer.so'; due to the fact that the folder /mozilla is linked to the folder /seamonkey, Flashblock finds a second virtual Flashplayer 'file' in the /plugins folder and tells the user to delete one of them, when the 'Block Flash' button is pressed.

Since there's only one real file, you can't delete one without the other linked file also being removed - which results in a total loss of Flashplayer (and also the capability of switching it off, of course).

What can be done?
