Long story: I am trying to get gnucash and puppy on a flash drive. I thought the easy way would be upgrade to latest pup and use menus.
When I upgraded to 216e2 apparently my 214 save file got corrupted. I did not back up the save file. I luckly had an old 213 save file and have recovered somewhat.
present config:
pup2.15 w/213save on one gig flash.
pup2.15 w/214save on another one gig flash.
pup2.16e2 w/new save file and 214save file on a 20gig usb hd
Boot:
boot from 20g dr, sel newsave and I can load the ipw220 wifi driver (am using now)
boot from 20g dr, sel 214save file and cannot load ipw2200 driver. I used the option to probe all drivers and none would load.
6 months of config etc resides in the 214 save file and I would like to get back to the quick easy use of pup and continue trying to set up gnucash.
any suggestions where I can look or what I can do would be wonderful.
Puppy upgrade corrupted save file?
Booting, installing, newbie
