Basic Puppy does not have the compilers to install such a driver.

This question is better suited for one of the compiler experts to see if it is possible to build it in a custom Puppy.

For reference, I believe the modem driver fix may be described here.

Let's see if one of the real experts can assist.

Can you give us the web location of the driver that you found and believe you can use?
I love it when a plan comes together

the url is:

http://www.netodragon.com/slmodem-2.9.1 ... gon.tar.gz

it,s not all about the driver, but also to install more programs.
I was wondering if there where any package to install in puppy to get the needed compilers.

thanks

You probably ought to wait for the upcoming version of Puppy, but if you just can't wait, try Puppy 1.0.5 alpha 2.

As Flash said try Puppy 1.0.5, it allows you to compile programs to use in Puppy.

Have a look at the News Puppy page for more details.
