webmini_215.sfs doesn't load

#1 Post by mwestlund »

I have downloaded webmini_215.sfs twice into the /mnt/home directory, ran [fixmenus], and restarted IceWM. When I go to find it in the menus, it is not there! I downloaded web_215.sfs and got it to work without any probs. I discovered it did not have Bluefish which is why I was interested. webmini appears to have it, which would be great! Any ideas on how to make webmini work would be great. I'm using PuppyOS 2.15CE (which I love) and have OpenOffice.sfs working fine. -Mark

You need to reboot between downloading and running fixmenus.

But Bluefish is definitely in web_215.sfs. I'm the one who put it there, and I just launched it to make sure. I was under the impression that webmini_215.sfs left it out, though.

Thanks for the posts. When I loaded web_215.sfs, I did not see Bluefish. Which menu should it be found on? What version is loaded? All I saw was Vnu(sp?). -Mark

An older version had Nvu. In the final version that was replaced by Kompozer.
There is a slight chance that Bluefish wasn't in that old version, but I think it was. Here's a link to the final version:

Bluefish is version 1.0.7. It should show up in "Utilities" and in "Document". There should also be a file named /usr/share/applications/bluefish.desktop that you can click to start it. If nothing else, open a terminal and type bluefish and hit enter.

Thanks pizzasgood. I'll check it out. I'm looking for Bluefish 2.x version since it supports PHP and XML and has a spell checker built-in. I need to support these in my sever apps development. This would go a long way for me to move totally away from MS. -Mark
