Small, easy to install, looks decent. Dont know that it offers much in way of a challenging computer opponent. I beat it first game out without much difficulty and I am not a very good checkers player. I had another linux checkers game long time ago and it was just the opposite, I never could beat the computer opponent, thus I also lost interest.
Now I am pretty good chinese checkers player and have yet to find a decent linux chinese checkers game. I mean the best I found is an old dos version that I can play under dosbox and it isnt much competition though it looks nice. There was another actual linux version that was little more competition but the marbles were not highly contrasting colors so hard for my old eyes to see clearly. It also only allowed for a very small game board. Maybe I need to find a good windows version and try to get it to run under wine.

don't know if it's the one you referred to, or if it's any good. there's also an sdl
version that the site says is better, but i haven't compiled that yet.
