Your require one Perl/cgi hosting server

http://cgiirc.sourceforge.net/

What the Puppys get:

irc from a web page (this would simply involve a web link on the desktop)

Here is an example - click on Irc-Chat
http://kanotix.com/info/index.php?la

This message will now self construct . . .

I tried the link to the Kanotix IRC chat. I was able to join and see what was being said but I couldn't find a way to post anything. :(

I was actually looking at this ...

The big advantage of this for people like me is that it works from behind corporate firewalls (unlike most of the Applets out there).

I think I can host CGI.

But I want to try and get some time to put my puppy stuff out, so I won't be setting anything like this in the next few days.

HOWEVER

If you do want to access the IRC in this way try :

http://das.funzt.org/cgi-bin/irc.cgi

And replace the "Channel" with #puppylinux

Cheers
