Wine worked the first time, but second gave error msg

#1 Post by Cap'n »

Well, it seems that I'm having trouble with wine. First off I would like to say that I'm NOT using the .pup or the .sfs, because I tried them and they didn't work. I'm using puppy version 2.13. I compiled wine from source, and it worked great to start out. Then when I ran it a second time I got this error:

X Error: BadWindow
Request Major code 1 ()
ResourceID 0x1e00004
Error Serial #13
Current Serial #15

Does anyone know whats wrong? Help is appreciated.

Hi,

I'm using Puppy 2.13 and Wine-0.9.28_213.sfs without any problems.
Maybe there is a process left in the background when it exits, check with the process lister.

Oooo... good call. It works fine now. But whenever wine starts up, I get this wierd message. Everything works fine, but you never know.

wine: glibc >= 2.3 without NPTL or TLS is not a supported combination.
It will most likely crash. Please upgrade to a glibc with NPTL support
