fldigi-pup and 2.15CE

#1 Post by HarleyXD »

I have been running fldigi pup 2.14, a BEAUTIFUL puppy by a ham radio operator out there, he gets full credit just can't rmember his call sign right now. i downloaded 2.15CE today and burned it to a master disk. in digipup at work my changes get written on the fly (laptop dvdrw) at home i run it on the wife's desktop (bigger better) and use a 2gig persistant file on the hard drive. both work nice. after taking the plunge on the desktop, i booted from cd with 2.15CE and it automatically updated all files, boom, no question on whether i wanted to update, however it worked very smooth. the only hit i took was on the 3 main software packages for ham use. couldn't find them anywhere, short cuts gone, all of it. a quick trip to the ham's site and got the 3 missing apps and reinstalled them (.pup's) no shortcuts but the programs are back and all my data is there..0 loss. just some info for the ham pups

where can I find those dotpup files? I'd like to install some ham software to my puppy 2.17.1 system (I already have fldigipup 2.13 running on a laptop).

2.15 is based on 2.14 with bug fixes in theory you could mount the fldgi filesystem and copy out the programs and they should work.... might be tedious
Taking Puppy Linux to the limit of perfection. meanwhile try "puppy pfix=duct_tape" kernel parem eater.

I downloaded Digipup with wget -c but the md5sum is mismatched.

The md5.txt has a different name from the iso...is there another place to check this as the one link is broken on the digipup site.

I also can't seem to get the .pets.....broken link again.

edit: I found a new digipup2.17 as follows

thanks for the files.....they will be stored here...

Prof Arnaldo Coro in Cuba is a ham friend of mine and he thanks you also.

The Digipup.md5.txt is still mismatched but the download was ok..so I will make my own md5.txt and post it...If anyone has the correct file pm or email it to me please.
