LZ/GZip/Pea Questions

Simple question:
Presume the content, hence installed version, of LZ and Gzip are identical?
Less simple (?) Q:
PeaZip claims all sorts of benefits such as 'doze compatitbilty, higher compression and (better?) encryption:

Any relevance for Puppy?
