MS .LIT and .chm conversion Subject description: I like reading, but... |
|
I download a lot of books on torrents, which are often, if not in .rar, for the best(ha! ha!), as at least there's PeaZip, are in .LIT format or .chm(an "enhanced" html MS format). LIT is now even almost obsolete for MS, but some books are available only in this format.
I'm trying to make, as a result, 2 PETs:
1 for .chm, which isn't to hard, hopefully, & 2nd for .LIT, with GUI.
Has anyone else worked on these subjects?
LIT, with a GUI, needs Python + Qt4, at least for the latest version, but I'm going to lok into older versions, which may use Qt3.
Are there plans to update to Qt4 in a nearby Puppy?
Or maybe other reading addicts who could give me a bit of advice...
Maybe SFS "book conversion" all-in-one
Anyhow, when ( I'm an optimist) I get this worked out I'll let on...

|
Thankf Muggins. I was off line for ages _ France Telecom & FAI are long to play tennis with the reason & it still won't work, but OK now, at last _ anyhow, there's some news in Barry K's Dev Forum & ChmSee will be available in Pup 4. It's the only program that's not enormous with deps etc..
It's all written about in the the 5 December.http://puppylinux.com/blog/
Thanks again for your help
