RP PPPoE ADSL client is connected but no internet in browser

Fellow explorers,

This is a strange problem I am having. The Network wizard says eth0 is working properly ( RealTek Fast Ethernet Card). I am using a MT841 ADSL modem with this card. The RP PPPoE client is also able to connect and the modem is showing that the connection is established. But when I start a browser ( Seamonkey), nothing comes up. I get a "Address not found/ Try Again" error.

I am on Puppy 2.17.1 running from CD.
