Ghostview Problem with PDF File

#1 Post by edoc »

Ghostview fails to open this pdf as viewable:
http://www.qsl.net/ke5cty/reviews/icom7 ... 28_729.pdf

Anyone else seeing the problem?

I don't see another pdf viewer under PupGet or DotPup.

Thanks! doc

1.2 Meg is a pretty hefty file when you think about it. I am guessing that the file did not download correctly. Did you save it to disk first and try to poen it from there? With a high speed connection it takes me 6+ minutes to download.

Code: Select all

File has corrupted%%EOF marker or garbage after %%EOF.
my guess is it is either incomplete or corrupt.
Puppy Linux...
It just works!

So the error is at their end?

At least one problem is not me doing something goofy or using an old version of
an app!

Now, back to trying to get 1.0.5RC to boot!

Running 1.0.5rc, not only did that pdf link not open in Ghostview, it also crashed Mozilla! -- I was most surprised, Moz suddenly disappeared :o

I have found quite a few files that ghostview wont open usualy comes up with an error but doesnt crash, I have found that if your quickly and do a few pagedowns sometimes I can get past the section that it doesnt like. Adobe reads the files fine so its not corrupted.
