I just love my audio Puppy!

#1 Post by PeterSieg »

Hey. Just want to say thank you all!
Now with streamtuner + streamripper, I can not only listen to
internet radio, but also rip the songs to mp3!

With audacity, I can do a lot of things related to audio, like record and
edit tracks.

With ripperX, I can rip off audio tracks from cd to mp3 files.

Now I am missing an app. to select several mp3 files and burn a standard
audio cd with it ... looking forward, if Xcdroast can do that...
(If not, I'll go and write a small script for that :) )

With gxine, I can watch DVD and movie files.

And with the extra cine codecs, I can now watch internet TV (app. 50% of
the gxine list works now)! Just Great!

How about the support of digital cameras?

PS
Have fun :)

Gcombust can do that, I did it a few times.

Now the live-cd has Xcdroast, which probably can also.

What do you mean here? Digital snap shot cameras, WebCams, Digital video cameras or something else?

a) Most snap and shot cameras are no problem. If they have a standard USB interface and they work as flash ram, you just plug-in the cammera and mount it as if it was any other storage device.

b) WebCams: I've compiled the spca5xx driver that works with a large number of web cams http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.p ... highlight=

c) I haven't tried the digital video cameras. I think I'll test as soon as I get home.

d) something else? mmmm...
