Run 2 Desktops at once + XPenguins |
|
Screenshot:
I just wanted to run XPenguins, some sweet penguins walking around on your windows...
The problem:
They do not work with Rox Filer 2, as they need a root-window, that is covered by Rox.
So I made this tool.
It works only in Puppy 3 (or maybe newer versions).
It works only with Xorg, not with Xvesa.
Download the 3 dotpups from here:
http://dotpups.de/puppy3/dotpups/Windowmanagers/GtkBasic-SecondWM/
You also need GtkBasic 003:
http://dotpups.de/puppy3/dotpups/Programming/GtkBasic003/Gtkbasic-003.pup
Now in the utilities-menu you have "GtkBasic-SecondWM".
If you start it, you will see a round button on the left of your screen.
If you click on it, JWM will start on a second display, with xpenguins.
You will not have desktop-icons there.
Also there, you have this round button.
Click on it, to go back to your first display.
You can switch as often as you like with this button between both displays.
If you want to customize the start of JWM, edit:
/usr/local/GtkBasic-SecondWM/resource/secondwm
This message describes, how to run xfishtank:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=156537#156537
xfishtank dotpup:
http://dotpups.de/puppy3/dotpups/Windowmanagers/GtkBasic-SecondWM/xfishtank3.pup
You also could start another windowmanager from the script "secondwm".
