XFCE as WM

#1 Post by high guest »

i ve tried DamnSmall and i saw it using XFCE as their WM. It think it has a better looking then the WM used by puppy.
Is it possible to use it also in puppy? Or are there already any .pups yet?

What WM did you use with puppy?

Right now Puppy has several WMs available.

I like XFCE and I use it as my alternate WM in Fedora. I don't know if someone has tried to compile it for puppy.

if you mean the default window manager, i think DSL uses Fluxbox ... i have a Fluxbox dotpup on my dotpups page ... there's a new Fluxbox version available, but i haven't made a package yet

i don't remember if anyone made an XFCE package ... i know i didn't ... it's larger than Icewm, doesn't seem to play well with rox ... and for some reason, i don't really like it
