I find that Puppy has no Mahjongg pkg available.
Here is one of the better versions of Mahjonng.

Mahjongg dotpup
Hi koolie,
actually there's a few available:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8811 Shanghai
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8579 xshisen
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=4826 xmahjongg
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 61&t=23086 mahjongg using the allegro library
I'm surprised that there's no SDL version AFAIK. Some of the above are perhaps a bit dated, but they should all work. The shanghai version, for some reason, as mentioned in another post, chews up 50% of cpu time. I was wondering if it was due to it's using xbm images, and was toying around with trying a different format, but never got around to it.
Also i'm sure most dos versions would run quite acceptably via dosbox. And there was a post, from a forum member who's mom was addicted to some windows mahjongg version, and he finally reported success in getting it to run in puppy, via wine.

koolie,
as you've already noticed, I've added an xmahjongg.pet to this thread:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=4826
I thought I'd place a note here, just for cross-reference porpoises.
With regard to the others listed above, Mu has a .pup for xshisen here:
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Games/xshisen.pup
For shanghai, I'm still unhappy with it's cpu usage, for such a tiny application, so will leave that for the moment, unless you want to play around with it.
cheers
