Attached are a couple screenshots. We are trying to get Puppy 1.0.5 on this laptop ready for demo at Raincoast this weekend,
see http://www.raincoast.info . Sound works on our mid tower computer but not yet on this HP ZE2113US laptop. How do we get sound working?

Re: No sound on HP ZE2113US Laptop
modprobe snd-atiixp returns the following:
# modprobe snd-atiixp
Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than /lib/modules/2.4.29/modules.dep
modprobe: Can't locate module snd-atiixp
following is from our modules.conf:
#Puppy 1.0.0, added Alsa support...
# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
# OSS/Free portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
Would it be possible to import a driver that works & if so, how?

Sorry, I assumed ALSA was in 1.0.5, but apparently not.
You could compile ALSA yourself. I posted my success with ALSA here -
