SOLVED File integrity ERROR: XP.Theme.Pup

#1 Post by Artie »

I have downloaded and installed IceWM Full 1.2.23 and the IceWM Menu for Puppy 1.05 but can't install any themes. I get for example File integrity ERROR: XP.Theme.Pup. Please help a newbie... :-)

Maybe a problem while downloading.

Just try again.

There are 2 ways you can try:
Use setup - dotpupdownloader or get them in mozilla from the wiki:
http://www.goosee.com/puppy/wikka/DotPups
http://www.goosee.com/puppy/wikka/DotPupsContributions

Thanks for answering so quickly! :-)

Using Mozilla from your links I get: You do not have permission to access the requested file on this server. Would you please try and see if you get the same? Might be a temporary glitch. Will try again tomorrow if you get the same.

oh yes, there seem to be service-updates going on.

I mirrored some files here:
http://noforum.de/dotpups/mirror/

I don't find the XP-dotpup, but do this:
download http://noforum.de/dotpups/mirror/icewmthemes.tgz (2.5 MB)
Extract it in the folder /root/.icewm

It contains these themes:
18k-metal
SimpleX
4Colors-Blue
Smooth-Feelings
Abby
e15-0.9.39.tar.gz
AquaIceX
icewm
DirtyIce1
kde2
DirtyIce2
kde2-1.0.0.tar.gz
E15
mwm
G2-Aqua
mwm-1.0.0.tar.gz
G2-Blue
nice2
IceBergX
puppy-xp
IceBlueX
win31
OnlyK-0.1
win31theme-default.tar.gz
RevolutionX
win95
SilverXP-1.2.17-double-1
xp-new
SilverXP-1.2.17-double-1.tar.bz2
xpnew-default-1.1.tar.gz
SilverXP-1.2.17-single-1
yak
SilverXP-1.2.17-single-1.tar.bz2
yak-default-1.2.0.tar.gz
Silverballs3

It is a personal backup of mine, delete all themes you do not like :)

Thanks for the links! :-) I've tried but can't get my head around the installing process. Will try when the DotPup Downloader works again.

yes, it looks like someone has changed the permissions on the goosee.com server, and the dotpup files on the goosee.com server are not accessible

Ok, made a dotpup (3 MB):

http://noforum.de/dotpups/icewm-themecollection.pup

Don't get impatient when there seems to happen nothing, it takes some minutes to install.

welcome to the kennels :)

*woofwoof* :P

Feel free to ask, most works quite well using the menues and playing around with the programs supplied with puppy.

Sometimes they will not fit your needs - may be they are too simple (to keep the basic system small), sometimes you might need a deeper knowledge.

In any case people will try to help you, with tips for additional programs or usage.
And if you may want to answer questions if you have some experience, we would be very glad, this is the concept of sharing knowledge and ideas I like so much in boards :)

ok, I leave it online. :)
Was intended as a backup first, and includes several (but I think not all) themes from the Wiki and some others.

So we have a "bigpack" for people who don't want to download each theme seperately.

To save space, the ones you don't like can be deleted manually in the folder /root/.icewm/themes/ using rox.
