i get to the place where it asks for keyboard type and i get no response from anything i press on my keyboard. i tried unplugging the keyboard and pluggin it back in. when i did, puppy noticed something being unplugged and plugged back in but said that no device driver had picked it up. i have a five year old gateway flex atx case. i have a gateway USB millenium keyboard. any ideas?

Need more info. Are you trying to install Puppy on your HD? Is there presently anything else on your HD? See this thread for details.

If it is a ps/2 keyboard you should be careful unplugging and plugging it while the machine is running, this is not the recommended practice.

Or is it a USB keyboard, if it is try a ps/2 keyboard or a serial one.
