How do I shut down Puppy with power button?

power button (ATX board) not function,need to push 4-5 sec to turn off
I knew on menu have power off but i want to push power button to turn system off

do you have any vlmlinuz or how-to

You should use the "shutdown"-menue.

If you simply switch off power, your filesystem gets corrupted.

If I interpreted it correctly, he wants the off button to send the shutdown message to Linux.

I am sure that you need to configure ACPI for that but I have no idea how.

Hi,

If you mean you want to shut off the computer by holding the power button down, just push the power button for about 5 to 10 seconds and your computer will turn off completely. Nothing you have done in Puppy will be saved to your pup001 file however.

Yes,I want to turn off my notebook by power button and
it should shutodwn system completed-like XP or ME doing

it not 4-5 secs to power down ,it must be shutdown

do you have any kernel that compiled for this?
