How do I increase the size of /usr/log/cups/error_log?

I'm trying to debug an event, but it generates so many error messages that the file overflows, and I can't see the first messages.

The config file is probably /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
The MaxLogSize parameter should be near the top. I'm not sure if it actually works or not - I seem to remember not being able to actually reduce the size.
