i have a problem with this monitor

it supports high resolutions up to 1920x1440 but puppy works only on 1024X768
i tryied to choose a higher one on xorgwizard but x-window fails

Hi magerlab,
I would guess from your config, that even though the monitor can display higher resolutions
you are limited to what your video card can output as maximum resolution (1024X768).

yes, that was the first thing i thought

but i tried with ubuntu livecd and it worked with

a higher resolution 1280x1024

can you compare the (resolution*color depth) between puppy and ubuntu
like 1024x768*16 (meaning 16 bit color) and horiz + vert refresh rates between puppy and ubuntu
