xf86-video-intel

#1 Post by solxyz »

Im continuing to look for a way to get widescreen resolution on my "Mobile Intel 965 Express", which I posted about a few days ago. Some searching has turned up the idea that I should use a different driver, namely: xf86-video-intel .

(Incidentally, when I try to use i810 I get a black screen and have to kill the power.)

However, this driver looks like a real beast to compile, with lots of dependencies. So Im wondering if anyone out there has already built xf86-video-intel and can share their results. Can anyone even say whether this is really going to solve my problem?

Much Thanks.

Not sure if you're still around Solxyz, but Patriot has compiled the drivers since you last requested. They can be found here.
