For puppy 106, how about including Alienx's remaster script? Very small, works well if you just want to add stuff to the base image.

Hi. Just remastered 1.0.5 and included in /etc/rc.d/rc.local0 just before
calling rc.local:
# USB Keyboard Support
modprobe usbkbd
modprobe keybdev

-- as suggested here in the forum..
I am now writing this message with Puppy 1.0.5 on Compaq Ipaq without
any ps/2 device.. just usb keyboard and mouse..

So works! Great. But is not perfect! If asked during boot (ex. phome),
usb keyboard doesn't work (yet). So put this 2 lines in rc.local0 is too late,
for that.. Probably Barry knows a better place...

I would like to see that in next releases, as it doesn't seem to harm anything
