Hi,
I was wondering whether I can install support for languages such as Hindu, Thai, and Bangla for Puppy without too much trouble. I am looking to have such support within the browser and also within the Open Office apps.
Also is it possible to install Skype in to Puppy without going through the dot pup manager? The reason I ask is that I am going to download and install Puppy 1.0.5 and then install Skype but the computer this is going on wont have internet access and so I wont be able to use the dot pop options for getting Skype.
One last question ... is it easy to set of DHCP within Puppy so that it picks up it's IP settings as soon as it senses it's on a LAN?
Cheers,
Adrian

Re: Language Support, Skype, and DHCP
Skype is a PupGet package. To install Skype without internet connection:
1. Download the package and put it somewhere local (e.g, /root)
2. Open Pupget package manager (Start -> Setup -> PupGet Package Manager). Click on the package on the left pane to highlight it -> click on the "Add" button -> highlighted package moves to the right pane -> click "OK".
3. When asked where do you want to have the package downloaded, choose 'Local'. Then choose the location where your package is saved (e.g. /root). The installation will then begin.

the two packages would be most likely to have such support or be easiest but it is not that straightforward - yet - Puppy was primarily created to be small - one language - English
