how to view Traditional/Simplified Chinese using Puppy 3.01

#1 Post by sunshinemaple »

Hi there,
I tried to download E-PUP Linux 217.ISO, Chinese version Puppy so many times. way too many times, no one passed md5sum check.
Puppy 3.01 is working fine now. Anyone could assist me to install a package to view Traditional/Simplified Chinese when using Seamonkey browser? Thanks.

I'm not sure about adding Chinese; I just want to ask where you tried to download e-pup from; maybe we can get the server issue fixed.

How to display traditional/simplified Chinese in SeaMonkey?
Very Happy
Please download
wqy-bitmapfont-pcf-0.9.9-0.tar.gz
from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=156288
Cool
Once finished download, pupzip will extract the files. Remember to extract them to a folder "WQY" or something you would remember.
Copy all fonts to
/usr/lib/x11/fonts/misc
close and reopen browser, (I am using SeaMonkey 1.1.2, Puppy Linux 3.01) enjoy reading traditional/simplied Chinese.
Thanks for Wen Quan Yi Project's great contribution.
Very Happy
