Shalom Fellow Muslims
Soon our Xtian Friends will be exchanging gifts
http://pages.britishlibrary.net/edjason/christian/
How about a
Boxed-Puppy-Set
Put together
1. A nice box ~ How about a nice wood polish?
2. Puppy on CD ~ What about those square biz card CD's?
3. Puppy on HD ~ Optional - good for techy types
4. Puppy on USB device ~ perhaps camera or other surprise. Well OK keydrive might be best
5. Floppy Boot to Puppy ~ (for Bios with no CD) You can get translucent rainbow floppies - all sorts
6. Puppy Booklet ~ What we have not done one yet? tsk tsk
What a gift!
Who will be first with a screenshot?
We can use the CD cover designs I created or better still new ones

Good idea. It would be a reasonably priced gift with multiple methods of using Puppy Linux instead of just a USB flash drive.
Some related ideas/advice:
- A wood box would be nice, but some buyers would also want a cheaper option.
- AFAIK, business card CDs are limited to 50 MB. That's partially why John Murga has his Puplet. Also, since CDs are cheap, one might as well include a multi-session formatted CD for fun.
- For multiple reasons, I wouldn't bother with including a hard drive.
- For when picking out a USB flash drive, one would need to pick one that actually has good hardware boot capabilities (i.e. mine doesn't support booting from itself on the hardware level).
- Yep, WAKEPUP would be good for that. You could use it to boot from the CD(s), USB flash drive, and other devices.
- Anacari/Seth has plans for a User's Guide (including Installation Guide also) but all I'm aware of that he currently has is an outline. Hopefully, we will find a good document collaboration system for help files, web pages, and source code.
As far as commercial ventures go, this would need to be independent of the future non-profit Foundation. But I don't see why Foundation members and others couldn't join together to help get this in production. Each person would have to be responsible for their local taxes and stuff, of course. My 2 cents....
