With Art of Illusion and Povray you can construct photorealistic 3Dimensional Computergrafics.

For Art of Illusion (not for Povray) you will have to install Sun-Java from the Dotpup-Wiki http://www.goosee.com/puppy/wikka/dpup
(or using "Start - Setup - Dotpup Package Installer").
Java is huge, it will use approx. 80 MB on your harddrive.

now reboot your Computer

Then install povray (7 MB, 15 MB extracted):
This will take a minute or so, so be patient!

Now install AOI (2.5 MB, 3 MB extracted):

Run AOI from the Dotpups-menue.
Open the scene /usr/local/ArtOfIllusion2.1/scenes/plant.aoi
Select "scene - quick render"

(the menuepoints will have a different title, on my german system they automatically are in german).

There you will find many screenshots and scenes.

The script /usr/local/ArtOfIllusion2.1/start-aoi forces AOI to use 256 MB of RAM.
Edit it, to apply different values if you have a lot of RAM or if you encounter problems at startup.

Happy rendering Smile
