How do I set up HP PSC F4185 |
|
Hello All,
Puppy 4 is great. I would like to set up my HP all in one printer scanner copier to work under Puppy. Any guide in this regard will be highly appreciated from the forum members.
With regards,
saa_1973.

I missed the post mentioning the details.
But I face a problem, when I try printing a pdf file, everything disappears from screen. Every other document work fine, only pdfs give problem.
Is this a know bug/issue. Pl. advise.

You can try the big package hplip, which should allow you printing and scanning. Please read

Thanks for your post. I followed and set up the printer scanner successfully. But I face a problem, when I try printing a pdf file from ePDFView, everything disappears from screen. Maybe this is issue with epdfview! Anyways I can alternately print pdf's from HP Device manager.

Yes, the problem is epdfview. I have posted a patched version. You can find it in http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=196923#196923
