Puppy in Agentina

#1 Post by Lobster »

We received the below comment on the wiki, which I thought might be of interest. I believe it is in Bulgarian, Argentinian or even Spanish.

As I am barely able to make myself comprehensible in English I though it best to translate from Spanish to English using Babelfish

Hello.

Let me translate this for you all:

I am amazed at the usefulness of this mini-distro, it's perfect cross-platform hardware recognition, the helpful wizards that allow you to connect and configure any type of internet connection, and they do work!

I'm using it to diagnose PCs and do some repairs.

Also, I can surf the Net so much faster, check email, design web pages, and chat in Yahoo using GAIM without trouble.

Y am very happy with Puppy linux!!

The language in almost all America is spanish, the third language in world (it losts only for chinese and english). In Brazil, half of South America and 200.000.000 people, we speak portuguese that is very very similar to spanish, like german and dutch (even more...)

I hate when I do not understand a text in german, a very important cultural and technical language

I hope one day machine translation do a better work... :D
Sorry, broken english above :-)

I am very pleased to say that more pages on the wiki are being translated into Spanish.

Puppian is creating Chinese pages which I hope will be of interest. If you know a language just translating some of the index page is useful

Hacoa has managed to translate Puppy into Vietnamese

The language in almost all America is Spanish
I know you mean the 'American continent' or as the Northamericans call it 'the Americas' But... Spanish is not only the language of choice in Mexico, central and south America. A lot of people in The States (Or as they call it 'America') speaks Spanish. Not only in the usual suspect places like California, Florida or NYC. I've lived in a 99% anglosaxon town in Pensylvania (Menonite country) and I was surprised at the amount of people that speaks Spanish.

Even here in Canada, A lot of people at the office speak Spanish, eventhough they don't have a Spanish speaking background.

But Anyway, I think that we should start learning Chinese if we don't want to become functional analphabets in the business world of the future.
