Well This is the latest Beta version of Java, I packaged it with the missing libs so you shouldn't have any problems, enjoy :)

Thanks for this pet. I just installed it in Macpup Dingo seems to work fine so far will report back if anything is amiss.

I am still using Opera on the 3.01 Puppy. So I probably don't really need it but I would really think it good to have an up to date Java enviroment. So I am going to install this too.

So this is known to work with Puppy 4.11-Normal in a Frugal install on an ext3 partition?

Trouble downloading your link

#12 Post by handy1957 »

Hello, I tried to download your link for java but it keeps asking me for a user name and password. I thought it would be my login name and password but that does not work. Could you help me out here?

But how do you get this to work in firefox 3.6.3?

I'd had the impression you'd already installed a version of the JDK. :)

You might try the newer version ttuuxxx posted here (u18 as opposed to u10). As far as I'm aware, that version automatically sets itself up for use with Firefox, as well (though I've never tested it myself).

Well... I accidentally overwrited some libs, and had to re-install puppy. (happens all the time) and I am having to re-install all the programs I like.

Thanks for the link. :)
