difficulties making bidwatcher.pup..?

#1 Post by PeterSieg »

Hi coders out there..

Trying to make a dotpup from:

http://bidwatcher.sourceforge.net/

It needs libcurl and libcurl needs libidn.. no problem..
Compiles then fine with 1.0.5 and usr_devx.sfs...

Run also fine -- in the same system it was compiled it -- but...

running this in another system with usr_devx.sfs + libcurl + libidn
results in 'segmentation fault' .. ???

Any clues?

PS
Have fun :)

OK, so what I found out...

it crashes at main with gtk_undo_selection ?
the emulated environment where it run, uses xorg server.
the one where is doesn't run uses standard puppy kdrive server.

Then I compiled fresh on none xorg env. still crashes...
I then installed xorg682c.pup - and .. now it runs..??

Hey Mark, what have you introduced with xorg682c.pup, that make such
apps run...? And why do they seg. fault without it... ?

PS
Have fun :)
