Sharing one's Puppy - How to eliminate personal info?

#1 Post by rodrigt »

As a recent Windows renegade and novice Dingo user my friends and family are amazed with Puppy's remarkably faster Internet browsing speed, thus have asked me for a LiveCD.
Question is: How to eradicate personal information before sharing one's Puppy build with others? Below is my starter 'How To' list and look forward to others contributing their wisdom so that everyone can benefit. (Later I'll post an updated list that incorporates all new input.) - Thanks.

Browser - I'll start with Seamonkey 1.1.8 (Dingo's default browser) yet same concepts apply to other browsers. Go to Edit/Preferences...
-- In Navigator/History clear History and Location Bar.
-- In Privacy&Security
----- Cookies/CookieManager: Remove All
----- Forms: Delete content in Stored Form Data and also in Manage Sites.
----- Passwords and Master Passwords: Remove all content.
-- In Advanced/Cache: Clear Cache.

My Documents - Delete all personal files.

VoIP -
Gizmo - In Gizmo the profile info is in .Gizmo (hidden) in a folder with your screen name. Just delete it. (Puppyluvr - July 4, 2008).
Skype - At /initrd/mnt/dev_save/Documents and Settings delete any folders with titles that mention your name.

What else...???
