epdfview patched for printing (and svn version)

#1 Post by lluamco »

The epdfview (version 0.1.6) in Puppy 4.0 does not print. I found a solution in arch-linux forums, which also works for puppy. Here I post the patched version.
I hope that helps.

EDIT:
See also the 4th message in this threat about a better (?) svn version

Great! I've just downloaded it.

Does the author of epdfview know about this improvement?

New svn version

#4 Post by lluamco »

The previous patched version of epdfview still suffers from crashes when page up, page down, up and down arrows are pressed.
I have been contacted by the epdfview's author. He has confirmed that
the bugs were fixed in a svn version, which moreover contains some other improvements.
I include it here. I don't know of any other possible drawbacks... yet.

epdfview Letter request

#5 Post by ecube »

My svn version of edpfview still won't accept Paper size A4.

My workaround is to create a new printer instance

lpoptions -p Okipage14ex/2 -o media=A4 -o fitplot
lpoptions -d Okipage14ex/2 set default printer

For a range of pages the print command is

lp -o page-ranges=3-5 -o page-set=even file.pdf
