I am unable to connect to the Internet.

ACER Laptop (Aspire 3000)
DLINK Router (DVG 1402S)
PUPPY 4.0 LIVE CD.

When Puppy boots up: Setting up Network Devices = [backgrounded]

When I click on Connect;
Internet Connection Wizard displays:
Current setup/status: A dialup modem is detected at ttySLO and nothing else in that section.

I click on “Connect to Internet by network interface

I'm having the same problem with my Gateway M205.

I followed you procedures to the tee except I "Auto DHCP."

I don't see any flashing connection icons. The cable connection works fine and I can get to the internet.

Anyone have any suggestions?
