I was pleased to see that Puppy 1.0.6 has been enhanced with the addition of Abiword, which has renewed my interest in using Puppy on my IBM i-series Thinkpad. The problem: Puppy has so far not been supportive of the Neomagic [NeoEvil] video chip in the Thinkpad.
In the past “Bladehunter” has helped me to achieve acceptable video except for the fact that the bar which should be visible across the bottom of the screen is actually below the visible window. Translation: what Puppy displays is too big for the screen.
As I understand things, Bladehunter is no longer available to assist. So again I turn to the forum members at large for help in getting Puppy’s graphics to fit within the visible window of my laptop’s screen.
Thanks.
Howard

I think I have the same Neomagic video card in my NEC versa 6060. When you run "Start -> Setup -> Xvesa Video Wizard" (which is what ran the very first time you booted Puppy), you are offered a selection of video resolutions, and there is a "MORE" button with further choices but I can't see the different options. Does anyone have a list of the different modes or have a fix for the problem?

The XFree-Puppy from bladehunter is replaced with a X.org-Dotpup meanwhile.

There are addon-Dotpups with several tools for Screen-setup.
