It's there,

Maybe you did not look high enough It's ranked 20.

By the way, why is your link distrowatch.cz instead of http://distrowatch.com/? Is that a mirror?

Hi Lobster and Rarsa,

I just tried the distrowatch.com link and no connection. Lobser's link -
http://www.distrowatch.cz/index.php?language=EN did work however.

Might this have something to do with being in North America (US & Canada), versus the rest of the world?

Puppy was listed - by the way.

Yeah it's a mirror. See the bottom of whatever index page (/) you can view to see the other mirrors.

BTW, I just sent an e-mail to DistroWatch about updating the distrowatch.com/puppy page to link to the new sites and an updated "about" description.

You are not alone, Lob. It was missing on my D/L as well, but had been updated by noon GMT. It now stands at 18 on the monthly access list.

Separately, it is slightly worrying that BarryK and his coterie of gurus could get sidetracked with preoccupations on multisessions, Winmodems, remastered versions, etc. The status of Linux is still not secure. BarryK's Puppy is a masterstroke amongst the plethora of minor tinkerings, most of which will disappear in the fullness of time. In my view, it might be better to concentrate on stregthening the breed, removing the Catch22 and perfecting a radically simplified HD install (like DSL!) and increasing the wonderful array of apps. that are so easy to install.
Of course, BK can do whatever he likes - it's his puppy, but he could feed it more steak so it grows into a rotweiler and he achieves the world domination that, presently, rests on the the shoulders of a thoroughly unworthy charlatan!

I actually had to write an essay about my life goals a couple months ago, and couldn't come up with anything. I started just typing something to entertain myself with the intent of deleting it and getting serious shortly. Instead, I wound up with a four page essay detailing my plan to conquer the known universe. I actually got a 90 something on it. 8)

Hmmm... When it comes down to it, what's stronger- a dog or a paine of glass? I'd put my money on the dog. Dogs also recover better than glass does. Once you break glass, it's done. Unless you melt it down and re-mold it.

As for the multisession buzz, it's just a phase. Sometimes one aspect of a project just starts rolling, and you have to go with it while it does. When it runs out, you work on something else. But if you don't go with it, you'll have to force it later. And it's really more pulling the multisession up to speed than being side-tracked. MS is just as much a part of Puppy as a harddrive install.
