General Procedure For Getting An External Monitor Going?

#1 Post by battleshooter »

Sup Guys.

What's the general procedure for getting a external monitor to work? I mean, if it doesn't work at boot , the Wizard can't seem to find it, pressing any combination of Fn doesn't help, how would you go about getting it going? In particular, mine's an AOC 7F connect to a M2000 laptop. I should be around to answer any questions for the next hour. I'm browsing through out the forum trying to figure this. BTW it doesn't have to be dual monitor.

Edit: It's sensed in xorg.conf, so I'm messing with it. I also tried Pizzagood's instructions and N00b's. They sound great but I think I'm having difficulty because I'm using a laptop.
