Recommended Process Manager Please

#1 Post by playdayz »

I would like to see memory usage specs, preferably in a process manager. Using top I get bad readings on wine programs, like 1045% of memory for each of the wine processes, wineserver, etc. Pprocess has no memory usage Is there a pet that might suit my needs? thank you.

Hi try the one from LXDE. It displays Memory Usuage
I packaged it up and made a menu item Menu/System/Task Manager

ttuuxxx: Thanks so much. Exactly what I needed for an older low-powered laptop with not too much memory.

Your Welcome Janpup and also since this is your first post, WELCOME TO PUPPY :D If you need help with anything just ask, most people are friendly here. Whats your laptops specs? maybe we can help you out with some missing applications or which puppy version is most suited for your hardware.
Just trying to be helpful

Hiya Tux! :)

Hey buddy!---thanks mucho for taking the time for making this .pet file, okie? It's VERY much appreciated my Fellow Puppian Friend as I can use this, not just on Puppy, but on my other distros as well! :)

Thanks again Tux!

Amicalement/Cheers!

Its no problem at all, I had it laying around already when I compiled up LXDE, I kind of gave up on LXDE due to the fact it needed so many changes to get it working properly on puppy. But some of the files used are still handy :) Like LxTask, and Gpicview
